Lindsay Lovise brings her YA horror debut, Gingerbread Bones (Entangled: Mayhem Books, August 2026), to the Salt Lake Book Festival — think Hansel and Gretel rebuilt for the reality-TV age. When sixteen-year-old Georgie and her troublemaking brother are shipped off to the Maine wilderness for their stepmother’s newest survival show, two weeks of no phones, hard hikes, and forced camping should be the worst of it. It isn’t. Something out past the tree line is watching, and it’s hungrier than the cameras.

Lindsay writes across genres — brave-heroine historical romance, paranormal romance, and now YA horror — with a shared throughline of mystery and heart. She holds degrees in English and teaching but always knew fiction was where she’d end up, and Gingerbread Bones marks her YA horror debut. She’s represented by Emily Sylvan Kim at Prospect Agency, with titles including the historical romance Perfectly Wicked now finding readers on both sides of the Atlantic.

When she’s not writing, Lindsay is reading, drinking coffee, and avoiding laundry — she lives in Maine, where the winters make for perfect reading weather (and, evidently, excellent horror-writing material).
